Messy Church

Messy Church

We had great fun at Messy Church on Thursday 20th August in St George's Hall.

Our theme was 'The Awe and Wonder of the Seaside'.

Photos from our August Messy Church

Making sunhats to protect us from the sun rays.

To create a beach scene we used sand, shells and stones.

We made sun catchers to show the beauty of the sun.

Jesus went in boats on the sea so we created sea pictures with boats and remembered that God is in control of the sea.

We also thought about the ripples that form on the sea when a stone is thrown. When we say kind words they are like ripples in our world.

Under the sea are many different plants and creatures. We created a picture of what it is like under the sea and lit it up.

When boats sail on the sea they are warned of danger by lighthouses. We made lighthouses which remind us that Jesus guides us and protects us like a lighthouse.

It is always fun to have an icecream at the seaside and we always enjoy decorating biscuits at Messy Church. Our biscuits were shaped like icecreams.

At the end of the morning after making all our crafts Rev Eugene spoke about Jesus in boats on the sea.
